Redirect one domain to another
To Set a URL redirection
Some say that you should use a web redirect for all domains except your main domain. Or you may want to redirect a special sub domain to a special page within your website
- Click on your domain name under Domains and Mail
- Next to the domain you wish to redirect, click link URL redirect (highlighted by red box in screenshot above)
- Enter the domain or web address you want to redirect to. If redirecting to another domain on the same site, add a / at the end e.g https://mydomain.com/ so that sub-pages will redirect correctly.
- Click Update Now
- Your changes will go live within 1 hour
If redirecting to a different website not hosted by us, please ensure the A-record is set correctly. Our servers must receive the traffic in order to redirect. Our current A record at the time of writing is 3.105.162.160
If you do not have a live hosting with us, you will need to be on a URL redirect plan for this to work. URL redirect plans do not have SSL.
To Remove a URL redirection
- Click on your domain name under Domains and Mail
- Click link URL redirect
- Click remove Redirection
- Click Update Now
- Your changes will go live within 1 hour
