Wholesale, Trade, B2B - Product Pricing and Customer Management

Customise your product pricing for B2B, trade pricing, wholesale pricing, VIP or targeted discount pricing mechanisms. It's easy to add products and fine tune product pricing in multiple ways for a range of audiences, such as retail customers, trade customers and VIP customers.

Trade and VIP customers only see their own pricing when they login. They cannot see other customers pricing, and retail customers do not see wholesale pricing. If a customer/member has not been especially given access to trade pricing as an "authorised user", then they will only see retail pricing.

Price Visibility

Some retailers want retail customers to see retail pricing and have the ability to buy, but have a website catering to both trade and retail customers.

Some wholesalers only want to promote the products themselves, and require wholesale customers to register online with them before they can get access to trade pricing or the ability to buy.

You can configure the visibility of pricing and buy buttons separately, so you can achieve many different business approaches on a single website.

Authorised wholesale customers will only see their own prices once they login, and these won't be visible to anyone else.

8 Wholesale Pricing Tiers

In addition to the standard price, each product can have 8 additional prices defined to match a customer pricing group, aka pricing tier. Each customer can be associated to 1 pricing tier.

Each product can have a minimum quantity defined to achieve wholesale pricing, so that wholesale customers could buy in cartons or pallets, not single items.

Unlimited Unique Prices Per Individual Members

If 8 price tiers is not sufficient for your needs, then we offer unlimited unique prices per member per product. This requires a little more administrative effort, so best to use this just to target a few key products for special customers, and fall back on price tiers otherwise.

VIP Pricing

VIP pricing is a technique to encourage retail customers to subscribe or register to access discounted pricing. Prices are loaded as "Price Tier A" and a setup option will automatically assign all registered (opt in) customers from retail to price group A. Thus when they login, they get the better pricing.

Customer Discount Rates

Each customer can be assigned a global discount rate, so that all products are automatically discounted by whatever percentage you choose. The percentage rate can be set individually per customer. The discount comes off the standard retail price.

If the customer can get a better price on a given promotion, then they will get the best price available to them. Discounts do not compound.

Quantity Price Breaks

Quantity price breaks for purchases of multiple items, eg buy 1 for $10, 2+ for $9 each or 5+ for $8 each.

A optional setup fee can be applied to quantity price breaks automatically, so that the customers pays $30 setup fee plus $1 per item, to produce a fee of $130 on 100 items purchased.

Limit purchases to minimum quantities relevant to cartons, eg minimum purchase 12, and purchases in blocks of 12

Allow partial unit purchases, eg material at $10 per meter, can be purchased in units of 0.1m

Limit purchases to minimum quantities relevant to cartons, eg minimum purchase 12, and purchases in blocks of 12

Discount Prices

Add catalogue wide or category wide discounts, with start and end dates, to make pricing management and promotion easier.  Discounts can be limited to member groups, and even though a customer might be in multiple member groups, they will only get the best discount, not compound discounts.

Sale Prices

Show a RRP (or pre sale ) price in addition to the checkout price. This may be just a suggested RRP in the case of wholesale customers.

If a sale expiry date is provided, then standard pricing will revert to RRP once the sales date has passed. This is a typically retail approach, but can be used in some wholesale situations.

Efficient Big Order Data Entry

Purchasers who need to buy several different variants at a time can be presented with a more efficient purchasing form. In this example the product is separated into 3 different colour/styles and a table of available sizes. See real world example

When a quantity is selected, then the item is immediately added to the cart. If the user navigates away and back to this page, the quantities will show as per what is currently in the cart. Any changes to the form will update the cart. This approach makes it easier to reconcile what is being ordered on a large shopping list by simply returning to the product in question.

This feature is also available on a category page, and the feature can be enabled for wholesale customers, while maintaining a traditional single item purchase interface for retail/public users.

Product Options, Stock Control, and Option Pricing

Manage stock individually for different product option configurations.

Limit purchases to certain combinations of product options for which you have limited inventory, eg size, style and colour. Style prompt can be reworded. Pricing can vary for each variation with tracked inventory.

Allow unlimited price variations for other product options, perhaps when items are manufactured.  For example, customers could configure a "custom burger with choice of bun, meat, salad, cheese, sauce, etc" as you have an near unlimited supply of each option, that does not require online inventory tracking.

Easy updates

Update all your pricing in bulk using our bulk pricing update wizard. Makes it easy when GST rates change, or other factors effect your whole catalogue.

Managing Wholesale/Trade Customers

Prospective trade customers can register their interest on your website via a registration form. This will send you an email, giving you the option to consider their request.

You can also add new trade customers manually in the back end of our CMS / Control panel.

Trade customers can also be synced with several accounting and inventory systems, many of which include price tier associations.

Set trade customers to have a security level of "Authorized" or higher, and assign them to a "price group/tier". There are 8 possible price groups or tiers.

If a product has not been assigned a price for that tier, then the customer will get the standard checkout price (or retail price). Customers will never see or know about other wholesale prices.

Individual customers can be assigned unique prices for individual products at a fine grained level (outside of the normal tiered structure)

Customers can optionally be assigned a simple percentage discount that will be taken off all RRP pricing.

Trade customers will only get the best price they are entitled to on the day. This could be a retail promotion or tiered rate, or flat discount, or unique price. You can be safe knowing that trade customers won't accidently get a double discount.

Sales Reps and Data Privacy

Sales reps can use the POS system to enter orders while they are on the road. They can use any internet connected device, eg phone, ipad, or computer. Touch screen devices are best.

By default, all POS users can see all customers and all orders. You can fine tune the security of a sales rep to only see their own customers, and their own orders. To ensure this level of visibility your head office staff, or web master, must assign each customer to a sales rep, and this can be done on the customer management screen.

You can also fine tune security on sales reps so that they can manage their customers data, but not change their pricing group. Sales reps should assign themselves  to a new customer at the earliest opportunity, so that they retain visibility, and to prevent duplicated accounts being created.
