Product Variations - Revert to Basic Options
As variations are stock keeping units, you may wish to revert your variations back to basic options without individual stock keeping. You can do this within the product options area for just one product, or you can complete this as a bulk action for many products.
To convert a variant to a normal product (Product Level)
To do this, go to your options/sizes tab in the product which should take you to your variants.
On each variant, click the edit button on the right hand side.
Scroll down and click Convert variant to ordinary product.
You will need to do this for each variant that needs to be converted.
Press Publish when all changes are made.
Converting Product Variations to Simple options from many products in bulk
Within your category, select all the products you want to remove the stock keeping variations from by checking the box next to them.
A new menu will appear on the right hand side of the CMS
Scroll down to the bottom and click Remove Variants. This converts the variants to "normal" options within the product.

There are three ways of adding additional options to your product. Product Variations with Stock Levels, the less complex (Simple) Product Options, or as Additional Custom Questions

Yes you can add unlimited customisation questions to a product, including text boxes, multi choice, and file uploads, such as when a branded item needs to be customised
You can rename Colour, Size, and Option via the DESIGN > REWORD TITLES AND PROMPTS area.
No product option is set when a customer views the product, but you can choose to make one to be the default
You can set the option layout to be dropdowns, swatches, single price and more
With Product Variations you can enable a setting which will allow customers to add multiple options at once.
With Product Variations you can choose to show the range of prices available rather than the main product price.
You can add image swatches to your colours, sizes and options to your Product Variations and set them to display in the product area and category list

When using Simple Product Options you can create them as Global Options instead of Local Options which will allow you to reuse them in other products or add and remove them from all products in a category in bulk.
If you set the Display Stock Level to Quantity number the options will show the stock available.
With Product Varations you can set a product up so that the main product image can change when a swatch or option is selected. If using swatches the swatch can be a different image from the one that replaces the main product image.
If your Ecommerce Store has products with product variations, you can update the pricing for each variation via the Options / Sizing tab when editing the product.
