Seat Booking - Vans and Activities

Perfect for selling seats in tourism activities, or on tour vans. Multiple purchases are booked concurrently, eg for multiple seat family/group purchase.

If you have a number of seats available to book on regular timetable, such as

  • A tour van
  • Shuttle service
  • Movie theatre
  • Tourist activity

Each seat has a unique calendar within a product scope. Calendars cannot be used amongst multiple products, but you can use pricing variants for adult/child/senior seat pricing

You need to be on a higher hosting plan that permits multiple calendars, similar to the pricing for hire items. This feature is not available on the lower plans - check your hosting providers plans and pricing page to view how many resource calendars can be added.

Getting Started

1. Configure the Booking Setup Options

To do this go to E-commerce > Setup Options (under bookings section)

Configure your normal opening hours, and any booking rules.

2. Add each Service as a Product

Choose ADD PRODUCTS, then ADD BOOKABLE ACTIVITY/SEAT as the product type.

Add the number of seats individually via the 2. Hire Items section. The number of seats specified will determine the max quantity that can be booked (if no seats have been booked)

You can use product options to set different pricing e.g. Child, Adult.
