The country of origin is important to many customers, and so this page is here to confirm that our country of origin is New Zealand.
For those who are concerned about the data sovereignty, your data resides in both NZ and Australia. We also serve copies of your public web pages and images via an international network of servers that speeds up website hosting speeds for international viewers. However, our databases and backups reside on very secure servers, located in both NZ and Australia.
We are genuinely concerned about the political situations in some other countries, and we have made a special effort to purchase our services either locally, or from countries that are good international citizens.
Less than 10% of our expenses are spent overseas, and the majority of those expenses relate to offshore server hosting and online subscription services.
The original Kiwi trademark was established to promote businesses who make their products within NZ. But not every NZ business is a manufacturer or retailer - there are also service based businesses. The New Zealand Service trademark is also licenced through Buy NZ Made's website.
Website World are proud to also hold the NZ Service Trademark!

Buy New Zealand Made is the only official organisation which can award the Kiwi trademark under licence to a product or service that is NZ Made according to the rules of the Fair Trading Act. Local businesses must apply to use the registered Kiwi trademark for their product or service, and then pay an annual Licence Fee to be permitted to use the trademark.
Being a licence holder and displaying the Kiwi trademark gives your customers certainty that they are purchasing a genuine NZ made product or service. This is because current Buy NZ Made licence holders are listed on its official website in their business directory.
Why should your business apply to use the Kiwi trademark, officially promoting your services or products as NZ made? According to statistics provided by Buy New Zealand Made:

NZ Made Day occurs on the 21st November each year. Established in 2019, New Zealand Made Day encourages Kiwis to support the products and services of local businesses in the lead up to Christmas. A day of celebration, NZ Made Day promotes Kiwi trademark licence holders who have applied to get involved with the day, and will help spread the word about their special promotions across its Buy NZ Made channels.
Businesses and customers can use the hashtag #NZMadeDay across social media to support local businesses, and businesses can apply to get involved via the Buy NZ Made website.
