We’re Ringing Bells for Our Charities This Christmas

Each year Website Builder donates over $15,000 to our favourite charities, Oxfam, the Fred Hollows Foundation and several childrens charities. 2017 was no exception, because as a New Zealand owned business, we believe that this money is better spent helping others than sending our customers Christmas cards.

Why Oxfam and The Fred Hallows Foundation?

We like supporting Oxfam because they help people help themselves. Oxfam help people develop their own small business endeavours to help them help themselves. It’s the support, not the cash people are given and that is something which resonates with us.

This year they also assisted people after major earthquakes and helped provide clean drinking water and shelter to those affected by other natural disasters.

The Fred Hallows Foundation assists people in developing countries at risk of loosing their sight due to preventable conditions. This year marks their 25th anniversary helping restore sign in Pacific and with the donation of a large mobile clinic, they are set to help even more!

We’re often asked by customers what they should do with their website over Christmas. Your best option is to keep it live, but add a temporary banner or text which tells visitors your Christmas hours and when orders will be sent out. Speaking of holidays, we’re also taking a break. Our office shuts down over the busy holiday period, so we won’t be able to answer your calls. Support is still available via email though, so feel free to send us an email if you need any help.
