Updated CMS User Interface

This month we have updated our content management system user interface. We hope you like it.

The general navigation remains the same, but looks a little different. All the features you know, should generally be in the same place where you expect them to be.

We have removed many of the borders and lines that added clutter to the screen. We have settled on a new icon set, that remains a consistent look around an application that has been developed and improved over the last 17 years.

If you are using a mobile device to edit your website on the go, you should have a more pleasant experience.

We have removed many of the busy grid/column layouts, and returned to a simple list of features. This requires more scrolling, but new users indicate they prefer this approach to finding what they want.

Please provide us any feedback on any area which you feel needs more work. In result of that feedback, we make make additional changes in the near future.

System Updates

CSV Imports of Product Photos

It is now easier to import products and photos from an existing website. Just import the product image URLs from your existing website, and we will automatically transfer those images to our server over the following few hours.

New Features Coming Soon

Our new developer Marat is busy working on one of our biggest updates in a while. We will be adding a booking management system in coming months.

Customers can book a meeting or appointment from an availability calendar.
Customers can book and pay for services, including deposits.
Customers can view their bookings and modify dates or times, within set parameters.
Customers can hire items, where availability is managed by our system, pay for deposits, etc.

There is a lot of work going on, and we know this will be a popular feature.

We hope to have a beta test running in June.

Clearing your Browser Cache and Publishing

Caching speeds up your computer, but it also causes confusion when viewing changes to your website. Every web master needs to become familiar with this concept. Almost a third of all our support tickets relate to mis understandings about caching. We can't change the nature of the internet, we only educate.

Pressing publish button is neccesary even before you go live. Pressing the publish button allows you to navigate your trial website. When you navigate your trial website, you are actually navigating the published pages in many cases. Only the first page to preview in preview mode usually shows your recent changes.
Your web browser is not aware that you are currently editing your website. The web browser does not undersstand any connection between our website builder CMS, and your website with a completely different URL. You typically need to press REFRESH on your browser to see recent updates. Or you may even need to clear your browser cache.
