Free Training Sessions NZ Wide

Our free training sessions will teach you how to use our website builder to build your own website or online shop. The course covers all the basics with some tips on bulk emailer, shopping carts, and search engine optimisation included. Nearly all our recent events have been booked out, so please make sure you book early.

Remember there is extensive help available from our FAQ's which is backed up by phone and email support.  Or there is always the option of 1 on 1 training - usually just one hours training (@$100+gst) will give you a jump start in your ability and greatly improve the results for your time and effort.  

Please also note that if you have already attended a free training course, then you can only be wait listed for a free spot, or pay $50 to attend extra sessions. Or you may like a personalised one on one session instead for only $100.

Please make sure you do attend any training that you have booked for. Your seat is in hot demand at some events, and at others, continued events are dependent on good turnouts. Please consider what friends might also be interested in getting a website and ask for a seat for them.

 

New WYSIWYG V5 Editor - Beta Testing

We are introducing a new toolbar for our free format page editor (the word style editor). This new toolbar introduces some new functions, however the greatest gains are in the ability to right click on elements in your content. Another key change is that we have limited the width of the editor much closer to the width of most content pages. There is an option in the toolbar to expand the window if needed. Other new benefits include

  • integrated spell checker (may require a 1 minute install of a plugin)
  • integrated search and replace
  • insert plain text or from word more easily without using notepad
  • view guidlines for tables
  • right click control of table rows/columns, cell formating and image properties

Please note that this option is in Beta Test mode and may be subject to bugs. Please let us know if you experience any errors with the new editor. You can access the new V5 editor is accessible from the V5 link top right when editing any page.

 

Multiple Product Options

We have added multiple product options in the shopping cart. For example, you can now ask for size, colour plus one other option/style as separate dropdowns. This is great for the apparel industry. See a baloon colours example here at PartyZone

If a product has any options to be selected, the users will be taken to the product detail screen where they can select all those options prior to adding the item to the cart.

 

Shopping Cart Changes

The footprint of the shopping cart has also been decreased while the customers are navigating categories and products, and only displayed in full when an item has just been added.

A number of people have requested this feature. You can choose to present additional products to the customer that they might like to buy, based on the history of previous orders... This can be presented in both the shopping cart page and also the product item pages. See an example of this here

 

Bulk Emailer Upgrades

You can now view statistics about who clicked on what link in the bulk emails, who unsubscribed, who read the email and who read the email more than once. The statistics are acurate for those people included, however, non events are not acurate.

You can now group the members of your mailing list into multiple groups. i.e. one member can belong to multiple groups. This makes it easier to categorise your members in many different ways, and thus send newsletters only relevant to them.
