Assessment One is the first of six assessments to achieve your Website World certification. It will test your mastery of skills taught during Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Beginner level course. One of the Website World team will personally check your assessment.
To complete Assessment One successfully, you must:
- have competed Section 1, where you:
- used the setup wizard to create a trial website
- added, removed and renamed pages of your trial website
- added page titles, sub headings and paragraph text to a web page
- added an image to a web page
- added a logo to your trial website
- have competed Section 2, where you:
- created an animated banner
- added overlay text to an animated banner
- have competed Section 3, where you:
- changed the general fonts displayed on your website
- changed the fonts on a specific page of your website
- changed the general colours displayed on your website
- changed the colours on a specific page of your website
Specifically for this assessment, you must create a website (using the skills you've used above - can be the same trial site you set up initially, or a different one) which has:
- your business or club logo uploaded
- colours chosen and used in text, headings, links and menu which match your logo's colours
- at least one page added or deleted (from default template used) to make it suitable for usage by your business or club
- an relevant image uploaded on at least two pages
Above (numbers 1-4) are the criteria against which Assessment 1 will be given either a Pass or a Resit grade. If a Resit is necessary, the Website World team member will explain which point needs correcting and refer you to the Beginner Section in which that point was covered. A Pass grade means you can move onto the next level assessment (Assessment 2). Please use the same trial website for all of your assessments.
