You can now build combination product recipies, eg gift packs, containing items from your inventory. Stock counts are automatically determined by the availablity of the parts. Sale of a combination product automatically decreases the inventory counts of the parts.
You can now order products in multiple categories. Once upon a time, when you added products to multiple categories, you had to use the same position in each category, and the system sometimes become confused as other items were moved around. You can now position products individually within multiple categories and get the results you expect. We have had to modify some of the product maintenance screens to allow for this. eg you can no longer select product position on the product screen, as this needs be managed within a category product list page.
Free frieght discounts, and free freight rules on freight options have been upgraded. Free freight can now be offered as an optional discount in combination with other discounts. Irrespective of where you define free freight rules, free freight is now displayed as a 0 value on the freight line, and that value is added to the savings total. Previously, if you defined it in the freight rules, it did not get added to any savings total. Or previoulsy if you had added it as a discount rule, it was displayed with the full freight fee, and then a order discount of the same amount. The new approach is more consistent and user friendly for all invovled.
You can now select top level categories to apply discounts, or exclude discounts. The discounts will automatically be applied to all sub categories within the category tree.
For a long time we have allowed our customers to send bulk emailers to large customer lists including stale email addresses. A stale email address is one which has not engaged with you for 2 years. Engagement can include any activity we can track as meaningful. eg "reading an email" or "clicking a link", "buying", "enquiring" or "logging in". If a member has not performed one of those functions, it is likely they are either dead, or their email account defunct, or that they just don't read your emails, or that they don't want to engage with you, or that they were a spam/robot email address to begin with. Whatever the reason, it is a good idea that we remove them from your list, so that you only send emails to real people who are likely to engage with you. You should notice an percentage increase in your read statistics after this. This rule is mandatory, and is more lenient than some of our competitors who block emails without activity within the last year. You can review your stale emails in the Members tab of the CMS under the status level "Inactive or Stale".
We now support all of the following global delivery network locations. All websites are automatically hosted from all locations, giving your browsers the fastest possible experience.
All websites have upto 10 minutes delay on publishing. Normally it's only about 30 seconds, but at times it can take 10 minutes. If the most important factor of your website is to publish live data, then we now offer a special real time hosting solution. The real time hosting solution is available from our DNS templates area. If you choose this option, you are disabling the high speed global delivery network service we offer. So you are weighing up the benefits of faster download speeds versus faster publishing speeds. It's only a matter of microseconds, but if you have a large web page with lots of thumbnails, you may notice that slowness.
If you want faster publishing times, and you us eour email service, please select "Faster Publish (no CDN) with Pop/Imap email" from the DNS templates.
If you use custom DNS options, please enter "webapps.cms-tool.net" as the CNAME for your WWW record.
PoliPay is a great option for businesses who want to accept online banking as a payment, and automate the updating of order payment status in real time.
Photographers shopping cart now even easier to use for "private event galleries"... just put all your private galleries under a main folder named private, and presto, every event gets their own private "gallery code" of the same name as their event folder.... no one can see each others photos, and no complex member logins to manage.
