A nationwide Level 4 lockdown was not want anyone wanted to happen. While New Zealand is likely to remain in one or more different levels over the next while, the importance of being able to do business online grows.

Now is a great time to ensure your website is ready for online sales and contactless click and collect orders. Updating your content, improving your SEO and growing your knowledge about features within the CMS are also things that can currently be done.

Adding Site Wide Messages

Site wide messages share important messages to your website visitors, such as delivery updates, click and collect, discounts and opening hours.

To add a site wide message, go to the Design Tab and then the Messages and Popups option. Here you can select from several visual places and/or popups that you can use for communicating your closures or expected delays in order processing.

Doing Business Online During Lockdowns

With the likelihood of Covid lockdowns causing business disruption for some time to come, being able to reach your customers and clients online becomes vital. 

As well as using social media to share updates, your website provides a 'home base' for people to go to and learn the most up to date information. You can use your website to help you:

  • sell products and services, including gift vouchers
  • provide membership only areas, great for VIP pricing and paid content
  • share dispatch and delivery updates
  • grow your followings by adding useful and interesting content
  • build your online presence by adding new blogs regularly
  • showcase products and even customers using your products
  • receive and highlight product reviews and testimonials
  • capture new email addresses
  • create lead magnets

System Updates

  • New POS updates - More refinements to the checkout confirmation, and checkout payment steps, to reduce the amount of scrolling
  • Event booking - additional custom questions. You can now add unlimited additional custom questions to an event booking, via the event product. eg, "name of friend attending" or "pets name" Or questions with drop down / checkbox options, can add costs to the base event price. eg packed lunch? workbook? gear rental ?See below a new button to get you there faster. The custom options are linked to the product, so if reusing this product over multiple events, the additional questions will be updated across all events using this product. These buttons will now appear more quickly when creating new events, as soon as you have selected your event product.
  • Address auto completion has been rolled out to the final step of order confirmation, membership registration forms, enquiry forms. If you require address auto completion added to other custom forms, we can set that up for $30+gst. In the final step of order confirmation, this is subject to the address layout, and address selection sequence. If an address was selected earlier in the cart flow, then it won't be editable in the same way at final checkout step.
  • % discounts will now apply to product options or custom options... Previously % discounts applied only to the main product price, or product variant price, and not to the "add on options".
