Our Support Hours Over the Holidays

Our phone support team will be taking a break over the Christmas and New Year period. Email support will also be limited during this time.

There will be no phone support available between close of business on the Friday 20th December until 9am on Monday 13th January 2020. Anyone who does call, will be able to leave a message on the answerphone, with all messages being added into our support email queue to be dealt with in the same way as any email inquiry.

Managing Your Website Over Christmas

Each year we are asked by customers if they should take their website offline for the holidays.

The answer is NO! Your website should remain online in order to maintain the SEO ranking you have achieved during the year. This is true, even if you are closing your business down for a few weeks, or heading off on holiday and won't be shipping any products.

Here are two things you can do instead:

1. Temporarily disable your website's Buy Button under:

SHOPPING - Customise Display Options - and selecting Not to Anyone in the Display Buy Button box. This will stop orders being taken from your site until you change the Display Buy Button box tab again.

2. Add short term messages about general order processing times in the cart and checkout headers.Visit SHOPPING - Customise Display Options & Notifications and scroll down the page until you see the appropriate cart and checkout header additional text insertion boxes. This will not stop orders being taken from your site, but will inform customers about delayed delivery times.

For more information about why your website should remain online during the holiday period, please read our article Should I Take My Website Offline for the Holidays.
