Site of the Month

This DIY website uses our popular mobile responsive Simply Carts 12XL theme. Her beautiful imagery demonstrates the importance of having fantastic product photos to help sell products. Her use of bullet points on the home page make it easy for web visitors to quickly see what her business can offer them. Take a look further here at her site.

Oxipay is Now Available

You asked and we listened. Oxipay is now available for testing as a payment gateway. It lets your customers pay over time in four fortnightly installments.

You Can Now Animate Your Images

When you insert an image into a page on your website, you can now choose the effect you'd like it to have. This can be found in the drop down tab labelled Effects.

Choosing from a range of effects such as fade in, shake and bounce, an animated image is a great way to get a web visitor's attention.

This feature is only available on pages on your website, not emails sent through our CMS.

Cancelling Orders

Unpaid orders can be a hassle. Stock is locked, awaiting payment. Now you can enable customers to cancel their own orders, when using selected payment gateways. The benefit of this, is your stock counts are replenished asap. The downside is you may miss an opportunity to contact your customer and clinch a sale. By default this feature is not enabled. Please edit each payment option to enable this feature with a timeline relevant to that payment method. You can also automatically cancel orders that remain unpaid via this method, using a slightly longer wait time.

Changing Your Password

It's important to change your CMS login password on a regular basis. Using a password management tool such as LastPass can help you keep track of your passwords.

To change your CMS login password, go to Security - Change My Login Password - Change CMS Login Password. Enter in your new password into both boxes.

Tips on passwords: use a combination of upper and lower case letters, symbols and numbers. Make a password at least 8 characters long. Don't say 'yes' when asked if you want to save your password in a browser!

SEO Tips

Anchor text helps you link your website to other sites and pages on your website through a hyperlink.

Used correctly, it can do amazing things for your SEO.

New Social Sharing Icons

Have you seen the new social sharing icons which have been added to our new icon library?

You now have more design, size and colour customisations available. Your social sharing icons will now look like this:

Migrating Websites Just Got Easier

It's now easier to import web pages from another website. When adding a page, look for the new option to specify a URL to import. The external page will be scanned for content, then you will be prompted to reduce the content if any, and tweak any of the auto generated settings. This option ensures the page URL and any meta data remains the same, thus maintaining your SEO status. You need to repeat this step for each and every page you wish to transfer. It is most suitable for single page formats. We will soon be adding a similar feature into our blog management area.
