From 1pm, 30 September 2014, ‘second level’ domains like the .co in ‘.co.nz’ and the .org in ‘.org.nz’ will become optional. You’ll be able to get .nz names with them, without them, or both.
Please use the following official website for checking if you can register the shorter version of your existing domain name. If you get a status of PPR, then registration is straighforward and you merely need to wait until 1pm 30th September to register your domain inside websitebuilder. If however you have a conflicted name, then please follow the conflict process explained in the following URL.
IMPORTANT NOTE: if you bought your domain name in the last 2 years, the shorter version may show as "available". If your domain is in that status, then it is a strictly first come first served basis. I can't stress how important it is to secure your domain on the opening day. We have over 500 customers in this status, and we have built an auto registration system for those who want the shorter domain. We will attempt registration of your domain on a best effort. To setup your automatic registration, just login to website builder, locate your existing .co.nz domain name, then click on registry button or tab. You will see the option for the shorter domain registration there.
We have added a new VIP pricing scheme. You can optionally display VIP (aka member group A) pricing to all users, but they only get the pricing if they login and are authorised to have that pricing. If you just want people to get that pricing if they merely subscribe to your newsletter, then you can optionally enable that in the shopping setup, product view options setup area.
We have shortened the default URIs for system generated pages. You are always best to add your own SEO filenames, but this update at least makes it easier for you to change page layouts after embedding links in content using link wizard.
We have added the ability to fully recover deleted pages for a short time. About once a week, a customer deletes a page they didn't mean to. This new feature will help leave some hair on your head.
We've made it easier to add products to new categories without removing them from existing categories. This feature is now available in the main product list area.

We have made some updates to the unleashed, vend and xero apis.
XERO - we now automaticaly create xero inventory records using the product code as we send invoice updates
UNLEASHED - client data is now synced, and new client records, or new stock records are now posted to unleashed with any new sale
VEND - client data is now synced, and new client records, or new stock records are now posted to vendhq with any new sale
We are progressing to do more long overdue updates on these APIs
Everynow and again we have to make a system wide change because we beleive it will produce more good than bad. One example of this is the default banner size is now 100%, meaning it will full the banner container area no matter how small or how big the banner... this will fix alot of issues where users upload images that are not well sized to begin with...
Unfortunately a few users liked their banner images being smaller than the allocated space. If your banners are displaying incorrectly since about 2 weeks ago, then please let us know and we will rectify it asap for you.
First, it's very important that you have good virus protection installed on your computer. We suggest: ESET - Antivirus Software
Second, it's important that you pick good passwords for your mailboxes. When a customer does not pick a good password, or they have a virus that let's their password be known, then a hacker can maliciously use our mailserver to send large amounts of email. This causes our mailserver to get black listed, and this in turn effects the ability for all customers to send emails. There is not solution for this except for us to be viligent in educating our users to use robust passwords. If we detect large email activity on an account, we are prone to immediately change the user password, so that the effects are limited to the first few thousand emails sent... Consider than 1000's of emails can be sent in a minute, so we need to act quickly...
Third, you should also pick a good unique password for the CMS, and for other important websites you access. A good password is at least 8 characters long, with a mix of numbers and special characters included in the password. If you are using words in your password, try to use at least 2 words misspelled.
Fourth, use anti spam "Captcha" fields on your contact forms, to avoid form spam. Our support team can add one for you for $30 if you don't know how to do this yourself. Just turn it on from the page options tab...

Prompt rewriting is available in the design menu, and this service overrides some of the old custom prompts from the shopping cart setup area.
