Alt Text for Additional Product Images

Alt text (alternative text) helps search engines and accessibility tools understand the content of your product images.

By default, the system automatically uses the Product Title as the alt text for all product images. This provides a sensible default without requiring any additional setup.

If you would like to use custom alt text for a specific additional product image:

1. Locate and edit the required product.
2. Click the Photos tab.
3. Click the Alt Text Button
4. Enter your preferred text into the Alt Text field under any additional image you wish to update. 
5. Save your changes.

Custom alt text can be useful when you want to provide a more detailed description of an image, include additional keywords, or improve accessibility for customers using screen readers.

Alt Text Best Practices

When writing alt text:

• Describe the image clearly and accurately.
• Keep descriptions concise and relevant.
• Include important product details where appropriate.
• Avoid keyword stuffing or repeating the same words unnecessarily.

For most products, the automatically generated alt text based on the product title will be sufficient, but custom alt text can provide additional context when needed.
