Adding a short Product description to your Product
You can add a short description to your Product by adding text to the details area, found it the Basic Product Description section, when creating a new Product.
This description text will appear above the pricing and options.
It will also appear on the Product List page, if you have chosen to display summary text via the pages Options settings.
Adding html/links/styling to the short description area
By default the details field only allows plain text, but you can choose to add rich text via the option 'Short Product Description Rich Text Editor' - found via the More Text tab, or by clicking the Additional Product Description button found below the details field.

You can choose to show summary text on the Product List page by clicking the OPTIONS tab found on the main Ecommerce settings page (Click the SETUP tab, if the top level tab options are not currently showing when editing products
The dropdown option Summary Text Length: allows you to set the length of the summary to display.

While the Basic Product Description area only allows for text in the Details: field, you can use the Short Product Description Rich Text Editor option to add links or other HTML styling.
When editing a Product, the More Text area provides different areas on the product page where you can add custom content, including buttons and links.
