Our Christmas Gift To You

In place of corporate branded gifts, cheesy animated virtual christmas cards, or real christmas cards via the old postal network, we continue our tradition of donating $10000 to Oxfam. Oxfam work on all sorts of awesome projects to help empower people to empower themselves. For example, helping peasant farmers get their produce to the market (and i mean physically picking them up from their remote village to bring their food to the market place), or helping them commercialise their waste products to produce new incomes. This approach of helping people help themsevles is an ethos I am sure many business owners can relate to.

Christmas Hours

Our office will be closed from 20th December until 9th January.  

We will monitor for important emailed support tickets, but ordinary support requests may not be answered over that time. Urgent tickets will send us an SMS message. Please do not abuse the urgent service so that we may also enjoy time with our families. Please pay your hosting invoices and domain renewals well in advance to avoid outages. Outages due to non payment will resolve themselves automatically shortly after the system notes your payment (paid via credit card or polipay).

Ultimate multiscreen and wirefree solution for notebook users

If you want to buy the ultimate christmas present for yourself, or someone you love, who suffers from too many wires on their desk, not enough screen real estate, and neck ache from looking down at their laptop screen, then i have a solution for you. I just bought a "Toshiba Dynadock", and it's awesome. I now have 2 large screens on my home desk, plus the laptop screen makes 3. It has hidden all the wires from view. When I need to take my notebook away from the desk, i only need unplug 2 wires. The dock provides access to everything, multiple screens, speakers, keyboard, mouse, external drives, internet etc. I highly recommend getting one of these if you want to make your notebook experience awesome. Some Other Cool Technology Tips For Christmas

Avoid buying your young children one off "kids ipads" or "single feature baby computers". Get them a real Android tablet. Most children over 2 years old will be able to work the basic functions of an android tablet, and there are so many cool free or low priced educational apps. The equivalent children models cost just as much, and have such a limited lifespan. There are lots of 7 inch android tablets priced around $100-$250, they lack the power and screen quality of ipads or higher priced models, but do their job ok for accessing the web, and doing odd tasks. Older generation ipads like the ipad2 are perfectly good, so consider if you really need the upgrade to the latest version. 
32GB micro sim cards should be the target for adding memory to your phone or tablet. About $50ish will buy you 32GB and you can fit alot of movies, photos and music on that space... Remember you only have 1 slot, so bang for buck, 32Gb is the sweet spot. Next year it will probably be 64Gb. Ipads are not upgradeable, but most android devices include the microsd slot for upgrading your memory so you can keep the kids happy with lots of music and videos to watch on long holiday drives. 
If you're buying your teenagers new mobile phones, it must be a touch screen. Don't waste money on anything with a keypad, they won't like it.  
If buying computers, invest in SSD hard drive upgrades, or notebooks which already have this superfast drive built it. 

For portable storage, go for the 2.5inch sized drives which have less storage, but don't require power leads.

MySKY, MyFreeview, Igloo or What?

If you like watching the nightly news on demand, you really need MySKY or MyFreeview, with a hard drive built in, and a 7 day series link electronic program guide (EPG). The cheaper options with USB plugs tend not to offer the "series linking" or "one touch EPG recording". Note: Igloo does't offer EPG recording, so it's really just an ordinary freeview box with ability to purchase a few more channels or ondemand content from SKY. But the lack of EPG recording is a big failure.
For those who currently have SKY, you should be looking out for the vodafone offer coming to ultra fast broadband streets in the near future. It will have the EPG recording features we all want for freeview, plus the ondemand sky content, but without the MySky monthly fee, and without the price tag of a typical MyFreeview box.  Looks like the setup fee will be about $100 and $125 for a whole phone/fast internet/TV service.

We always fix bugs fast, with all the users we have we get notified very fast of any real bug -  they are not common, so if you are having an issue operating the CMS consider some online training with us - you'll always take something away worth value. In all other cases we are happy to do anything you are having trouble doing yourself for a small fee starting from $20 for 10 minutes.
