Last Group Training Options

As website builder has got easier to use, and our Preguntas frecuentes has improved, many people just havn't needed training. We are thus running our very last group training courses ever. These will be replaced by Training Videos which will allow you to focus on learning just what you want, at a speed you want. Stay tuned for even more Training Videos over the comming months. We have just commissioned development of 30 new videos. 

One on one training will still be available in our Auckland office, or over the phone. On an appointment basis, at $100 per hour.

Quick Professional Touch Up

Do you want one of our professional web designers to give your website a quick once over and clean up the rough edges. Contact us for a quote, our professional designers can do plenty of magic in just 1 hour (100+gst per hour),

Discount, if you purchase 6 or more hours, you will only be charged $90 per hour.

 

Shopping Cart Upgrades

Total Savings and Sub Totals can now be displayed in your shopping cart and on final order summary. Just add the prompts in the shopping setup area - customise cart.

Quantity Price Breaks can now be provided. For example, sell 1 item for $10, but sell 2 or more items for $9. 

Freight can now be calculated more easily for weight ranges. If you have previously used the weight filter approach, please consider the new options for faster management of your freight fees.

The wording of even more headings, prompts and button labels can be modified within the shopping cart process.

 

Membership Form Upgrades and Interest Groups

All membership forms and subscription forms are now fully customisable. You can add/remove fields, change the prompts, and even include gender and birthdate questions. 

Interest Groups is a new feature allowing members to specify more directly which topics they want to receive newsletters about. You can then filter newsletters to those recepients only.

 

New Animated Banner Effects

You can now select more animated banner effects. Within the design settings, banners area, you can now control:

  • slideshow effect
  • speed
  • link different banners to different URLs

 

JQuery and ColorBox

We have now included JQuery and ColorBox on all websites. ColorBox replaces LightBox for popup image enlargements and slideshows. It is more light weight and will help your pages load faster. JQuery will power more slideshow options that we are developing. Stay tuned for new features.

Social Media - Google Plus

Well Google Plus provide many of the privacy features that are missing from Facebook. However, it does not integrate well with those of us who are using another google product called Google Apps. The news feeds are looking a bit quiet, or maybe i just don't have enough friends... 

 

Search Engine Optimisation Tip of the Month 

SEO is easy. Just dedicate 1 page on your website to each phrase.

  1. Change the page title, heading to the keyphrase
  2. Use the keyphrase in the first paragraph.
  3. Change the filename of the page to the same phrase.
  4. Link to the page from your home page using the key phrase as the link text
  5. Wait 2 months and check your new google position

Free Websites For Charity

We now have a new offer for charitable websites. 

There are 2 new hosting plans, FREE for very charitable websites serving the greater good helping those less fortunate, or $150/year for other community groups and sports teams. Existing customers may retrospectively request these plans.
