Import Products from TidyStock

The TidyStock integration allows you to import products into your Commerce (CMS) website either manually or automatically. You can choose to import individual products as required or enable automatic imports for selected categories.

Open the TidyStock Integration

  1. Haere ki E-commerce, Scroll down to plugins section > TidyStock. If you have not already connected Tidy Stock - see this help file: TidyStock Connection.
  2. Click Configure TidyStock.

This page contains all of your integration settings, and product/member import options.

Import Products

Scroll to the bottom of the configuration page and click Import Products Now.

Before importing, you'll see:

  • Categories that are already linked between TidyStock and the CMS.
  • Whether any categories are set to automatically import new products.
  • The option to browse products available in TidyStock.

Automatic Product Imports

Each linked category can be configured to automatically import newly created products from TidyStock.

If you want every new product in a category to appear in your online store automatically, leave Auto Import Products enabled.

If you prefer to choose which products are added to your website, disable automatic importing for that category and import products manually instead.

Note: Auto import only affects new products added to TidyStock after the option has been enabled.

Import Products Manually

If you only want to import selected products:

  1. Click Browse Products.
  2. Open the required category.
  3. Find the product you wish to import.
  4. Click Import Product.
  5. Wait for the import to complete before importing another product.

You can import as many or as few products as required.

Browse Multiple Pages

Products are displayed over multiple pages if there are a large number available.

If you can't find a product:

  • Check the pagination controls at the top of the page.
  • Browse through additional pages until you locate the product.
  • A search is also available at the bottom of the products page.

Results are loaded in batches, so not every product will appear on the first page.

Confirm the Import

After importing a product:

  • It will appear in your CMS product list.
  • Products assigned to a category in TidyStock will be imported into the corresponding linked category in the CMS.
  • If the product has already been imported, the system will indicate that it already exists in the CMS.
  • You can add an already existing product to multiple categories within the CMS.

Products Without Categories

If a product has no category assigned in TidyStock, it will still import successfully.

These products will be placed at the top level of your online store rather than inside a category.

You can organise these products later by assigning them to the appropriate category within the CMS.

Things to Remember

  • Only enable Auto Import Products for categories that you want to stay automatically synchronised.
  • Use manual imports when you only need to add selected products.
  • Always check additional pages if you cannot find a product immediately.
  • Allow imports to finish before clicking Import Product again.
  • Products without a category in assigned in the API importer will import to the top level of your shop.
